Gh test issue

I'm using a Nutrafin Gh test which requires adding drops until a visible color change happens. With this test, the difference between drops is a little over 1 dH. If I double the amount of water from 5ml to 10ml and count drops until color change and then divide by two will I get more accurate results? Are there Gh test kits out there that measure more accurate than 1dH increments?

As GH and KH test kits work on the principle of titration, you can double the volume of water to be tested, and just keep adding drops until you see a colour change.

The result is that each drop resolves to a finer degree (i.e. each drop is now 0.5 degrees hardness, rather than a single point). Doubling the volume again would result in a resolution of 0.25 degrees, etc.

That's what I thought. Thanks for confirming.
