There seems to be a fine line between weird-looking and beautiful - depends upon the eye of the beholder.

Most people think Aponogeton Ulvaceous is gorgeous, but some think it's ugly, unnatural-looking.
Cant say I care much for Pistia Stratiotes - looks kinda like cabbage to me.
Also Lagarosiphon Major, which looks like it should be white in color, and adorning a frilly-laced shirt to be worn with a tuxedo.

Is this an angle you were looking for ?

For quite a while I thought crypts and buce's were simply unattractive, and had no clue why people liked them. Since then I've come to love crypts after I started growing them, but I'm still on the fence with buce's. I am planning on getting some eventually, but they're still a bit too pricy. Why domestically cultivated strains are so expensive still beats me. Still think they're ugly. Still want 'em.

Elgera flucitans. Don't know why people would even want it, it's so ugly.

Ive been wanting that plant for a very long time, looks really good. I think just one stem or two infront of background plants makes it look real nice. But I have to try it out first.

i always thought subwassertang looks pretty weird. it looks like it has a jelly like texture in the pictures that i've seen. i've always wanted to give it a shot, but the chance just never came around.

Here's the TPT profile on it:

I misremembered the name. That happens a lot to me with the scientific names. XP

Madagascar Lace plant is still a pretty weird plant when it comes down to it. As is Echinodorus angustifolia 'vesuvius'.

My least favorite aquarium plant though? Hornwort. That plant can be torn into pieces and thrown into a fire.....UGH.

LOL I thought so too at first, but I've just been googling the images when people list the plants.

I remember seeing one plant that looked like a green stem with other green branches forked off of it. It grew vertical. No leaves. Ideas?
