detroit metro craigslist > for sale / wanted: search for "fish tank"

don't get a tank more than 24"deep & 24"high as
it gets too hard to reach down and aquascape it.

Spypet,

Yes, I have been searching craigslist and the much more active michigan reefers site.

I agree with you about the difficulty of scaping the deeper tanks. This tank is going to be for Discus and I think they look really cool in a deep planted tank. It will be a slow growing planted tank so hopefully the scaping will be kept to a minimal.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I have an newly set-up oceanic 33 (pic is in the "photo album") which is 24" deep. It is a low maintenance / slow growing tank and scaping is minimal.

So, i think it will work really nice for your discus - just make sure your lighting is sufficient but not too much (or it will be a high light tank).

Karlos, Give Aquarium Warehouse a call. I just got a 60gal cube tank 24x24x24 for $69. They sold the last one the day i called and I was to have my boss pick it up for me on his way back home from Detroit. I was bummed but Steve assured me that he would build me one that night to have for Sunday pickup. My friend got a 120gal from them for under $200 also. Don't quote me on prices, they are the best by far though. They have a myspace page with their phone number
