Enthromaracyn or Enthromycin?

Hi I just called the local pharmacist about buying some enthromaracyn and she keeps asking me if I mean enthromycin. Are they the same thing?

I want to buy enthromaracyn cheaper since it would cost me in upwards of 100$ to treat all my tanks for cyano.

Erythromycin. I think you should text the word to her.

Neither, because there is no “enthromaracyn”, nor “enthromycin”.

Erythromycin is the correct.

I also hate how people mess up immersed and emersed.

Wait so now I am confused a little. The stuff inside what Maracyn sells that most of us use to treat blue-green cyano is called enthromaracyn, no? Is what the pharmacist referred to the medication I am looking for?

No, Maracyn is a brand name for erythromycin.

You're not going to be able to buy erythromycin from a pharmacy, at least not in the US, without a prescription. You'll need to head over to the lfs or pet super store and pick up some Maracyn.

you can get some cheap if you search that popular online auction site. it'll ship from overseas, but way cheaper than buying from the lfs. just seach for erythromycin capsules, you'll get a few hits.

i'm pretty sure the pharmacy sells them over the counter and does not require a prescription. unless they changed it recently.

I just tried at Costco. You need a prescription.
