Mojo. I am just trying to figure out what the difference is from one led to the next.

What plants are you looking to use?

Well the buildmyled light is specifically designed to stimulate plant growth, by providing the perfect light spectrum, and they let you customize your lights however you want.

Well I've been growing an Amazon sword in my son's tank that I plan on using, also some rotala colorata, HC, Christmas moss, and some other plant that I don't know what it's called, and everything else is still up for consideration although I won't have a CO2 system for awhile, so that might limit me on plant choices.

DIY CO2 is better than no CO2 at all!

That's true, I could always make another concoction for my own tank, I will probably do that until I convice the Mrs to let me buy one.

That looks sweet!

I too love a low tech setup but i'm hoping to grow plants like crazy since I have various tanks, and various family tanks that I have setup, decorated and maintain.

So I want to be able to share plants to all my tanks, and to people on here that want or need new plants.

You'll probably want high light and CO2 if you want to grow HC.

What part of CO if you don't mind me asking?

I plan on getting high light for sure, but the CO2 and HC will come later perhaps I might even get a different carpet plant.

I think you meant south haha, either way I often travel to Longmont to visit friends, so maybe some potential plant trading in the future?

Lol! Yeah I meant south, that could be sweet I'm always looking for plants.

As a matter of fact I was gonna offer my 36G tank for some interesting stuff, but not yet not until I setup my 29G.

Well my tank is almost due for a trim, and I'll be headed that way in a couple weeks. I'll let you know beforehand to see if you want any.

I don't know what kind of filter you have yet, but I have a 4 month old Penn-Plax Cascade 700 Canister Filter with new media that I'm trying to get rid of...interested at all?
