What are these?!

Got these funny little white things swimming around in my tank (planted, 2 cherry, 1 sakura and 1 blue, some pond snails). Really really small at the moment, dart here and there really quickly. Too small to take a picture of.

None of the shrimp have 'berried' yet, as far as I'm aware. We lost 3, last one died a couple of weeks ago.

Pic of eggs which I'm pretty sure they hatched from:

Certainly not snails (unless snails swim and dart around to begin with!).

Any ideas?

Cheers all!

My guess is the things swimming around are a variety of copepod, and harmless. Unrelated to the eggs on the glass which look like some sort of snail egg.

Probably a water flea, or copepod like aqua said. How do they move? I also agree with the eggs, but that a huge clutch of eggs for a snail. Not your average bladder snail eggs there lol.

Re: the eggs... Pond Snail. Looks like they're beginning to hatch. Can be really beneficial in a planted tank for cleaning up algae and leftover food.

Hmm maybe the pic doesn't show the size properly but doesn't that seem like a huge clutch? 1 1/2" to 2" is what it looks like O.o

Look at the thickness of the glass and the thickness of the strands of cladophora (moss ball). It's rather small. Half inch at most. Average clutch.

Though, I have some larger Pond Snails approaching 1.5" that lay larger.

Ah yes, I see your point that moss ball is messing with me. Mine are all 2 inches and I was having a difficult time with that lol.

Thanks all, really appreciated!

I first expected that they were snail eggs but then seeing those little things flying about I wasn't too sure. Looked up 'Copepod' and the shape seems to fit

We also have some other eggs, which are of a similar size to the first picture but a smaller clutch and translucent blue - guess I'll have to wait and see what comes out of them!

Thanks again, well pleased with responses to my 1st post.
