Najas sp. Roraima

What's your experience with this plant?

Fussy? easy? demanding? plant and forget?

i'm looking to add more fun in my tank and this plant looks like fireworks!

Agree, looks like fireworks and wouldn't mind having it in the tank again.

Once happy it grows fast. It is hard to plant and is brittle so breaks easily. It is destroyed by H2O2. Turns red at the top quite easily with good light and CO2. Top fish like platies adore it.

When you get it let it float if you can until it has all new growth then try placing where you want it. Letting it anchor on a tall plant in your tank might work so it doesn't just drift all over the tank. The old stuff will likely be in poor condition but the stuff grown in your tank will be stronger and maybe you can convince it to stay down and not break up.

Ya I use to grow this plant. Ya once they settle they grow like a weed. And are very brittle. Very nice plant, under decent lighting turns them a nice marron color.
