Algae ID please ( pics included )


Hi all

I have been suffering with this algae only on my java moss, please help me ID it and how to get rid of it

My tank is low tech with only rcs shrimp with no CO2

substrate is MTS caped with white sand

this is a java moss on drift wood



this is some of this algae i have been manually extracting it from the moss

I am far from an expert but have you had a Marimo moss ball in that tank at any time? it looks like the Cladophora algae that those are made of.

Roll it all up and make moss balls with it With that in mind, I have no idea how to stop it from growing in your tank.

I bookmarked this earlier because it looked to have a lot of useful information about algae.
