Melting plant - plan of action?

Hello!

In the last week, I had planted some Glosso to carpet the substrate. Everything was going well, the plants were pearling and growing until BAM! - they started to melt...

This image shows a small patch that is melting...

The bit that has melted has now got some hair/thread algae growing on it.

WHAT DO I DO?
Do I leave it and let it do what it needs to do, or do I have to remove it? I do dose, inject CO2, have high lights. Its just that the other patch is pearling like crazy and the other bit is slowly dying away - its gutting

Please help guys!! I need a plan of action

Thanks again,
Dan

Pull out the sick patch, hoover the substrate right in that area to remove dead stuff and next time you have some pruning fill it back in. It happens, not the end of the world. Perhaps the area lacked water flow so it didn't grow as well. Algae can attach to dying plants easier than healthy ones and probably are using nutrients leaching from the sick plant. Keep plants healthy and you won't see much algae, pretty amazing.

I'm doing my utmost best to keep the plants healthy but it looks like I've just fallen unlucky with this patch of Glosso. I shall remove it tomorrow when I have a whole day to sort out my tank
