Thanks. I made the tank and lid out of acrylic. There are some holes drilled in the lid near the front glass to help keep that pane cool and dry but the others get condensation almost constantly. I'm thinking of installing a small fan soon. There isn't much moisture in the cabinet since most of the water stays within the tank, but I run a window air conditioner occasionally to keep moisture down.
Yeah, I think the tank needs a background. I destroyed one of the acrylic tanks I made by spray painting it (Too thick of a coat caused it to crack) so I was hesitant to paint this one. I might just get a piece of black cardboard for now, though.
I'll take another pic with the lighting, but it isn't all that impressive, haha. I just bent a piece of roof flashing as a reflector and screwed it to the shelf above the tank.
