I currently have 4-t8s 2 are 5000k and the other 2 are 6500k. they are resting on the glass tops of the tank. Im looking to upgrade my lights but want something that i can hang at least 6" above the top of the tank and still give me the same amount of light i have now. Im tired of constantly taking the lights on and off the tank, id like to hang them and not have to worry about them unless im rescaping my tank. any suggestions?

id also like to avoid pressurized co2 if possible.

If ur running no co2 , look up

1. Finnex fugeray
2. T5 with 1 or 2 bulbs depends on the size of ur tank

I have a 75 with a finnex ray II and a dual T-8 from Catalina. Best of both :-)
To my eye I would not be happy with either by itself, so I use them in combination. The Ray II puts out a lot of light, so you will want separate timers and photoperiods for each fixture.. I use three timers :-)

My Catalina fixture was delivered without a hitch
