dandelion alike algua on glass

I just saw some tiny litle thing attached to my my glass (about 10 per square inch if not more).

It looks like dandelion when they turn into that get blown off by wind.

its very tiny.

what is that? what should I do

It still sounds like hydra. They vary in appearance quite a bit, depending on age, dinner, and probably species. Tiny white skinny thing with arms that swooshes around? Really sounds like hydra.

Are there arms, or just a blob at the end?

I've had something like that before on one of my rocks. They looked like tiny white anemone. I suspect they were just some type of fungus though. Maybe that's what you have also.

they are in my planted tank, and they are also in my bare bottom discus tank.

I'll try to post a pics but its going to be hard

Sounds like Hydra to me, too. Not a big deal unless you get'em real big. They can get any baby shrim or really teeny fish fry when they do.

Hydra practically are tiny white anemones. I recommend NOT getting pink gouramis to take care of them. Six years later and I have some giant pink fish.

yep sounds like hydra to me, they come in a variety of colors (mine were light green and very small). simply smooshed them with my hands for those on the glass and put in some ramshorn snails, not sure if it was the snails or the fact that i dont feed this tank much and there is no small food for them to eat, but the population crashed and disappeared in a month or so. i would only worry if you are trying to breed fish or shrimp as the fry are the only thing small enough for them to catch. kinda irritating to look at them swaying in the current on plants though. good luck, and i second mori on the no gouramis, the reccomended 3 spot gets huge and lives forever, i had them in highschool and ended up giving them to a friend with a koi pond.
