Appreciate if you can answer this question.

Thanks!
I agree, I am unsure if should leave blue light on aswell or will it take away from the red spectrum.

The blue light is only meant as a moon light. Using it with the light on tends to add more visual color for your eyes, it doesn't need to be on at all times.

Has anyone used these on a crypt tank?
I'm planning a 20 long and was wondering
If this would be too much light?

I haven't used this light but I have had crypts in high light LEDs. It wasn't too much light but they did go through a melt down period and tend to stay shorter then in a lower light tank.

Do you have the PAR ratings for the other lengths of this light?

I would love to see the PAR on a 16" or 18" planted+

I wonder why Finnex isn't responding here anymore ? It is definitely about time we had spectrum and PAR readings for these fixtures, imho.

They still respond, in between model releases right now - maybe Lowe is on vacation or something

but from what I understand they had access to high accuracy PAR equipment through a 3rd party at one point but it is unavailable now.

that would be correct. They lost access to their connection with an accurate PAR meter - and don't want to publish bad results.

The numbers for the Planted+ have been missing since the units were released. I doubt anyone at Finnex had a vacation since then.. ;-)

Hey guys. Ya, I can get a quick reading on the Planted+ with an Apogee if you like. It won't be entirely accurate but it's something. Developing the new light, we have access to a proper Licor meter but sadly can't get it for the Planted+ atm.

Why don't you guys invest or rent a Licor meter? Is it that difficult? I would think that a company so invested in the business of lighting aquariums would absorb that into the cost of doing business.
