Check out the Ballagio. Pretty nice.. wicked ceiling in the lobby.
Other than that.. catch a show. Go the 'O' if you have the extra cash.. I hear it is good. I didn't have the extra cash when I went.. or any cash for that matter. The light show on Fremont Street is pretty cool too (plus you can drink on the street.. if your into that kind of thing). Don't miss the Liberace museum.. it's a must. Heh. |

Vinlo,
Thanks for the info.... We are going to see Cirque du Soleil "Zumanity", and I want to do a light tour of the strip.. I guess they have a shuttle that takes you to all the lights, fountains etc at night... Liberace museum? Well I hadn't thought of it, but then again, I bet it is pretty interesting... Drinking in the street, now we are talking.... Jason

Well.. it's a street but doesn't really feel like a street so much as a mall. I was there at the beginning of august so it felt like I was inside. Very strange.
That cirque show will be cool.. crazy french canadiens. A light tour.. that's rich.. those place are so freakin' huge you can't judge anything. You think it's 5 minute walk to the casino and it's like 20 minutes. Check out the Venetian too.. pretty cool (take the wife on a gondola ride.. hehe). There is also a pretty cool wax museum there, if you into looking at replicas of famous people who you probably don't care about in the first place.. I hear the Paris has a kick azz buffet. Gotta get in some buffet action right? Oh yeah.. if lions are your thing go to the MGM Grand. Lions in a glass box.. doesn't get any better. Keep an ear out for the fake lion sounds coming from the glass box. And finally.. (just thought of it) there is an old Neon Sign graveyard/museum type thing.. I wanted to check it out but didn't get around to it. Check out Hoover Dam.. it's Dam big! |

Vinlo,
Yea, I was thinking of doing the hoover dam thing. I plan to just walk the strip and check out the other casinos and hotels. Just so much to see. We will be at the Luxor... Something about a big glass pyramid that is cool... The cirque show is supposed to be a little shall we say adult oriented  That neon sign thing sounds kool too... I will try and take few pics to share... Cant wait... Jason

I've seen both O and Blue Man Group. Both are awesome shows...O more is more the visual experience where BMG is overall sensory experience (even though Intel kinda ruined it ..IMO). I wouldn't hesitate to see either one of them again.

Hey everyone, I made it back in one piece, with a few bucks left in my pocket... My fish survived my vacation with no problems... Plant growth was crazy....
Buck, I saw that coaster, not in a million years.... Jason

Are these real?

Only after being a few days away you realize how many changes occur in the tank all the time... plants growing being the most notable.
Las Vegas... not a big fan... some good food... hanging out in the Venecian, at 2 am in the morning, under an almost real looking blue sky, does feel weird :aah:

Yea, it was pretty cool.... I think some place tropical will be next.... The shark reef at the Mandalay bay hotel was awsome, they had some fresh water displays with giant grouamis(SP), bala sharks and tinfoil barbs, another tank had Pacu... These fish were monsters.....
