Home-made Nano Scraper

I was having a hard time getting my commercial scraper in various parts of my Eco-pico, especially the corners. I had an extra X-Acto handle and a scrap of brass rod laying around.

I sawed some slots in the plastic handle and then cracked it off with a pliers, then drilled a hole in the end of the aluminum blade holder the same diameter as the brass rod.

The rod was put into the vise and the blade holder tapped onto it for a friction fit, though epoxy could have been used if a larger diameter hole had been drilled.

Works great! The rod provides some "spring" tension against the glass and the blade is small enough to get right into a corner or even between one leaf of h.c. and the gravel against the glass.

Great Job! Do you have any issues with the blade holder scatching the glass?

No, though after your question I tried it out on a scrap of glass. It's aluminium, and didn't seem to leave a mark.
