Iwagumi 60gal first attempt

Hi ive got a six foot tank and am in need of some pointers for the iwagumi style. My picture is on my profile.

should i flatten out the substrate to reveal the rocks more?

Any tips would be excellent thanks.

Your link didn't encode properly. You need to put a slash ([/IMG]) in the last IMG tag.

Since this picture ive sorted my diy led lighting. 20 x 12w cree gu10 bulbs - 6 blue and 14 cool white - any thoughts? Im planning to grow hc cuba (foreground) and e parvula for around the rocks and the background using the dry start method.

Ive smoothed the substrate. But I think ive got the overall shape of the hardscape.

Looking ahead im thinking perhaps some dwarf puffer or spotted puffer (adults can live in fresh??) fish as they're quirky with a school of cardinal tertas perhaps 100. Any suggestions are welcome,

Important question the back is acrylic sheet, what you see as white is the protective cover on a black piece of acrylic. So my question is do you think a white or black background will be more striking and effective with the iwagumi style?
