Iwagami style 10gallon ada journal

After my LFS had an ADA seminar I got inspired.
Trying out the DSM this time around
Iwagami inspired hard scape
Manly carpet plants with some foreground and moss to be added

Setup-
Ada do!aqua 45 x 60 cm
Lighting- 18" ecoxotic e series
Substrate- ada power soil, ada Amazonia (LFS put together all soil powders for my tank)
Hard scape- Seiryu rock
Root, (can't remember name) to be covered in moss
Filter- zoomed 501 canister with Lilly pipe and intake ( ebay )
Co2- ada do!aqua nano kit. With ada mini diffuser and drop checker

Plants
Pogostemon helferi
Eleocharis mini
Hemianthus callitrichoides Cuba
And much more since...see further into journal for more info.

Fish stock
Colony of mixed shrimp
Otos
Horned snails
Large school of nano rasboras or tetra

So far dsm set up after a few hours of planting, cross fingers to see if it grows!

I am not a fan, generally of iwagumi style, but I can say that's the nicest iwagumi scape I've seen yet!! I am liking the helferi sloping upward on an angle and in the back!!

Was considering buying that tank. So I will be watching to see this one as I'm apprehensive over loosing those inches in length to get more in front to back measurement.
You might check/w AqAdvisor on "A large school of fish" in a 10g tank however.

Thanks! yah i too usually think Iwagami style is to simple or zen like for my taste, but I do like the stone arrangements in them. So i mixed the hardscapes a bit.

It will be fun to see how it grows in. My idea of,a school was about 10 nano tetras. But thanks!

I dig your scape and layout! This tank will look great - I look forward to see it in a month or two.
