Columbus, Ohio members?

Hello Everyone: I just wanteed to find out if we have any members in the Columbus/Central Ohio area. At Aquaria Central (which has had continous problems), the Central Ohio members would get togather for a plant swap. People would bring any and all clippings and exchange those (or give them away) with other members.

I just thought that if there were members in the central ohio area, we could all get togather and talk 'planted tank' (my friends are sick and tired of hearing about substrates and Macro/Micro nutrients......I dont balme them). I would also love to swap plants with other members. Just reply to this thread if you are in the Central Ohio area and would like to meet up.

Count me in, I dont have alot to trade yet but a few. Currently starting up a 45G planted brackish tank (currently fresh). I also will be upping my 75G planted tank to 150G once I get all the materials.

What I have right now surplus is a few red rubin sword plants, several small java fern plantlets, and some anubias (not sure which variety). Also may have a few fish to trade/give away.

I am new to the planted tank business, but Ive got a 55 gallon with an oscar and pleco, a 29 gallon with an elec blue crayfish and also a 55 gallon african cichlid tank. Would love to meet some other plant people in Columbus area.

Welcome to the forums shwerm!

There doesnt seem to be alot of columbus folks on here. On aquariumboard.com there is actually several folks from columbus there and I just got a bunch of plants from a few of them. Good luck with your endeavours.

Not quite Columbus, but we have half a dozen or so Columbus members in SWOAPE. I think one of our Columbus members is hosting a meeting in March if I remember correctly. There is also the Columbus Area Fish Enthusiasts or CAFE. There are quite a few plant nuts in CAFE so it may be worth your while to check them out.

I know 2 guys in CAFE, its good to know theres other ohio folk out there!

I live in Marion, about an hour north of Columbus. I've been talking to some CAFE and SWOAPE members. I've been looking around for Ohio members as well.

I am just south of Columbus and would love to meet some fellow plant enthusiasts. I have right now all bare bottom tanks raising discus and want to learn more about plated tanks.

Toledo here but formerly from Crestline (halfway between Cleveland/Columbus). Decent amount of planted tank fans in my area and club.

Columbus, OH here... I've got a 29 gallon planted, you can check link in my signature(needs updated though, much growth since that update), if you decide to do a planted, I wouldn't mind giving you some cuttings, and I know 2 others who have planed tanks in the area.

Hey crawdad- I wasn't at the meeting this time around, but hope you got to attend!

There is a swap meet coming up March 28th for those of you who haven't made weekend plans yet. It was a blast last year. Columbus always has a great turnout in regards to variety! Always something you'll be interested in!
