Can someone help identify these guys


These guys got sold as Galaxy Rasbora but I don't believe that is accurate.

lol. Well I knew they were a rasbora of some kind, just didn't know exactly which one, so that helped.

How are they doing? I think they're really neat looking.

Its actually not a rasbora, they were changed at the same time the Celestial pearl danio was changed to danio. They are closely related, and can interbreed. They go by a common name of "cross banded danio" now. Great fish, I actually like them a bit better than the CPD's, they have very very similar personalities as the CPD's too

They're called Danio erythromicron. I have two and have been looking for more. They're really pretty.

Good to know. I've been thinking about getting a school of CPD's, but now I might get these. Or both....

these guys when they are comfortable in the tank get a dark iridescent color to the stripes. very good looking fish! I have a group of them in my flora

I was told CPD are great for nano tanks so I purchased 3 of these guys for my 5 gallon Fluval Spec I hope they will be fine in there. Since they are almost identical to CPD I think they will be fine in your 6 gallon.
