Since Eco-Complete will cost me a years allowance, I think I'm going to use Flourite mixed with Volcanic planted aquarium substrate. I read that it has fine pore structures in the gravel encourages bacterial activity that enhances the biological release of nutrients from within the gravel. The results are superb plant growth! Of course I'll put 4bags of Flourite, then cover it with 2bags of Volcanic substrate. What do you think of this combo? :?

That should work fine... I used a mixture of playsand and flourite in my tank and growth and color is great...
