Bulb Life on Metal Halides

I'm running Metal Halides on my tank and was wondering if the colour temperature of the lamps deteriorates over time like flourescents?

Do they maintain the same colour temperature throughout their life?

They do get reduced in intensity and colour temperature over time, and I have seen this first hand at my two tanks and at other's tank right here. Mine was initially white and turns a bit yellowish now. The intensity also decreases a bit than when new (instantly intense bubbling after MH is on back then).

It can go on for as long as 1-2 years before dying out, that is if you are still happy enough with the colour and quality. It is important to avoid any hot start as that will decrease the life of the bulb.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
