I sometimes think it is a cruel legend to frustrate us newbies. The rare and unobtainable Amazonian powder, maybe we need Indiana Jones on the case.

It'll be available again when our next container arrives - May or there abouts.

There was a manufacturing issue with it in Japan in the fall, so they scrapped the whole batch, rather than sending out a defective product.

But, it'll be back to normal again soon!

Frank,

Can you elaborate on the considerations on selecting he powder over the standard version?

Is it designed to cal the standard version or used exclusively?

My understanding was that it was better for HC and other small plants, is that correct?

Thanks

Powder type is meant to be used as the top dressing to normal soil to improve the aesthetics of the tank. It also helps plants like HC to root and be planted easier. In a nano tank, you could just use 100% powder type.
