So in my office thank there is a handful of red crystal shrimp and a exploding population of cherry/pfr

However i saw this...

It's hard to see, but it's almost a speckled black with white bars?

It looks like some of the rare crs x cherry crossings I've seen in pics. Time will tell.

Only speculation. A few who keep neo's/card's together have seen a baby like that. Whether it is a true hybrid, or just a wild neo, is up for internet debate that will never be settled until dna analysis is done. lol.

Strange shrimp crossings happen.

DNA can be done on molts even, if preserved in alcohol. So if you can get analysis done on your shrimp molt, it would be a HUGE help in for hobbyists in the future! It may even cost you nothing if the researcher is genuinely interested as well.

I believe the crustahunter may be able to do this, and we may even have some contacts here on the forum?

I believe it can happen obviously.

I have some tiger x neo crosses, they are sterile though, even though they get berries all the time, they never hatch

This is interesting... I feel like it has white bands? Could that come from a wild neo?

Well if i can catch him in molt i may try that!

Mabj to your point he does at first i thought maybe glinting from the lights but it's actually part of it's pattern.

Will definitely keep an eye on him, he is growing pretty quick only see him occasionally though. Kinda exciting
