What is the best heater?

I know many of you run sumps and/or canister filters. I however, do not.

For those that don't use "inline" heaters...What is your favorite/the best heater. I.am currently using an Aqueon in my 75, but it looks like there is sinew kind of corrosion happening inside the glass casing. I a looking to replace it. I would like to find the best I can to hopefully prevent this from happening again.

Thank you.

I love ebo jagers, and use 2x 200 watts in my 55's and 75's in the winter, 1 in the summer. 2x 300 watts in my 180 a 150 in my 29. You'll get a lot of opinions but I think ebo usually wins as they are great heaters.

Liked my titanium heater I'd never worry about it breaking and a controller sets precise temps, but I wouldn't recommend jbj trutemp

Ebo jager is a great heater, but I have to go with Ti heaters. They're the best and you can't get anything better. Most accurate and shatter proof. Plus comparing a 300w jager to a 300w Ti heater, the Ti is much much smaller and isn't like 50 feet long (extreme exaggeration). Most Ti heaters come with a digital or dial temp controller that doesn't sit inside the tank. Pretty nifty feature.

If you don't want to dish out the extra money, then ebo jager is your next best bet. I have a 300w right now, but I plan on getting Ti heaters to replace it.

I like the jagers because they ARE long. I don't like putting my heater all the way at the bottom. I am kind of old school in that I like the adjustment nearer to the top of the tank. But I want the heating element at the bottom. So the long heater let's me have my cake and eat it too.

No such thing as best heater... I use all kinda of brand heater and like half of them.
I'll recommend aqueon pro since you can buy from any pet store.

Ebo jäger are well known for being some of the most reliable heaters available, they are very competitively priced and I have never had one fail on me. If you're going for the best value and dependability ebo jäger is the way to go. There are plenty of more expensive and higher end heaters that also function perfectly well, you've just got to decide what you're going for.

Aqueon pro series heaters are my favorite. They are constructed the same way as the old stealth pros, made in italy and all. Full plastic body and are pretty durable.

I returned my stealths for fluval replacements after the recall. I hate the fluvals now. So glad I traded fish babies for ebo jagers.

Titanium isn't the brand. It's a type of heater. There's several brands. My LFS sells a 300w one with controller for $40. Forgot the brand name but it's reliable. It's about half the size of a 300w jager, so I can actually put it in my sump.

I wish there was a titanium jager. Lol it'd be the best of both worlds.

Anyone.have a.brand preference for titanium heaters?

Ebo Jager vs. Eheim Jager....difference?

I believe the ebo is the older model. Not quite sure about that, but both are not shatter proof. If there was a Ti Jager heater, I'd be all over that! Finnex sells a Ti heater. There's also Jebo and Won that are good.

Here's a link to more input on heaters.
