Metrecide 14/ Flourish Excel good for shrimp/plants?

I am wondering if this form of CO2 is safe for shrimp such as yellow, orange sakuras, OEBT, CRS, Paint fires, and celestial pearl danios (fish).

Plants I know don't do well are Vals and anacharis...
Will java fern, red wendtii, and anubuis be okay?

I have used twice the initial dose without adverse effects to any of those plants. The shrimp I don't know. I keep reading conflicting reports on it's use. From what I gather in normal to low doses it's okay especially in a heavily planted aquarium.

The plants you have listed will be fine.

For the shrimp, as long as you follow the recommended dosage (excluding the doubling of dosage on water change days), your shrimp will be fine.

Oh thanks, I just finished reading it. If indeed omnicide and metricide are the same thing you think I should buy it? I guess I am a little weary of the e bay seller...

have you tried your omnicide yet?

I read link, some people say its same thing others say to stay away from omnicide 14.

So buy omnicide 14 or just stick with metrecide 14?
