check my water levels

n my ammonia level was .25

tank has been up n running over 8months

should i be worried?

im guessing i might be feeding too much

I would be a little concerned; in an established aquarium such as yours, there should be no detectable ammonia.

I would remove any uneaten food, and to check if there may be a decaying fish (or decaying food) that is causing the ammonia spike.

In the meantime, some water changes to bring the ammonia levels down will be required.

I would wonder how the plants are doing, is there growth, and do you have enough plants? They should be taking care of most or all of the ammonia. Also overstocking, or a combination of these. I agree with Darkblade too.
