have 4 x t5ho 54w in 422 with 3bps pressurised co2 using external reactor.

Short of putting your tank in full sunlight, the best way to gaurantee algae growth is to add nutrients, ie food. I have 9 heavily planted natural tanks, some matten filters, some canister. Some with t5's some with Finnex ray or Fuge rays. All have healthy fish populations. One thing in common is that all have some snails, Corys and I feed sparingly. When I see an increase in snails, I know I am feeding too much.

That said, what are the specifics of your situation?
