Setting up my first 20g soil tank

Got the tank and filter now going to pick up the soil tomorrow. Not sure what type of theme to do with it though. Will be having some of peters shrimps and h4ns Erios in it. Thinking an all erio and shrimp tank maybe. Open to ideas and opinions.

Still debating if I want to cap it or not. Might just go plain soil with a few black worms to stir up the soil

LOL I'm starting my first shrimp / nano cube. Maybe we can split a wholesale order if you want to get something exotic like Cardinal shrimp.

soil is just asking for anaerobic pockets and toxic gases! Make sure to research the set up well if you haven't already!

I found this great here on another thread
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume...e_7_1/dsb.html

I'm going with blackworms as soon as I can find a good realiable source for a good bunch. Maybe a banjo cat as well or an eel. As far as for cap I plan on having a HOB filter rigged so the water doesn't cause to much of a current. It'll be an interesting project. Worse comes to worse I got a 5g bucket full of sand from my previous set up

As far as cardinals. Too much work dealing with ph. I try to keep my tanks as close to neutral as possible. Thanks for the offer though.

If you ever want to do a group-buy on black worms count me in. I've also been looking for a good source.

I will keep you in mind. I have been lazy about setting up the tank but I should have it up and running as soon as I get my led lights

I'd be interested in a group PFR buy. Maybe we can get a discount for ordering a ton
