Ferts question on mixed tank

I have what I term a mixed 40 gallon breeder planted tank in that it is dirt based / gravel covered and I use Flourish Excel instead of CO2 but have strong T5HO lights some 10" above the tank. I have been having a green algae problem even though I raised the lights and reduced the amount of time the lights are on.
My question is I am using an EI ferts dosing schedule for no CO2 with a low light tank - dosing Macros once a week, Micros once a week and a 50% water change weekly - is this appropriate for my aquarium. Thanks for any suggestions

What specific light are you using? You could have low light or high light, depending on the specific light fixture.

Default Fert question mixed tanl

Thanks for responding Hoppy. The light fixture I have over this 40 gallon tank is a 36" inch 2 X 39 watt Deep Blue Solarmax T5HO with 6 blue LED moonlights. By the way I have one daylight and one pink plant specific bulb.
