That looks great brighter than I had thought , hmmmm might opt for it after all.

You won't be losing light...? I have several of the fixtures. While they're probably more expensive than you need for this project (they're not my favorite fixtures - but they're convenient), you definitely wouldn't be losing any light because there are a few extra blue LEDs attached. If you don't want to use them, don't flip the blue switch on.

I wonder why they dont make them without blue .

They do, the Ray II DS http://www.aquavibrant.com/finnex-ra...ual-7000k.html

It is said to have much more light than FugeRay, for 30", it uses 5w more. I'm looking into these two models myself for 20G/L.

i have a 30in t5no on my 20l. i have to admit for plants its the best growing tank of my 6. i just borrowed a PAR meter yesterday and plan on doing some testing with it today. anyway. i know t5 is not as flashy and awesome sounding as LED but don't count it out yet.

Randy, I've had the light for about 2 months now. I did have some algae in the beginning while the plants were getting situated, but no algae problems anymore (but it could be because I have lots of ramshorns...but I purposely want lots for when I get pea puffers).
