Question

Glass lily pipe for Aquatop cf500

I am purchasing an Aquatop CF500uv and I wanted to know what size lily pipes I need to get to match the in and out flow tubes. Thanks.

It says it uses 3/4" tubing so I guess a 17mm lily pipe would work?

3/4" is about 19mm I think. I guess a better question would be: do the pipes have to be slightly larger than the I.D. of the tubing?

Well take a look at this lily pipe:

search ebay for item 271211327046

It says it's a 17mm pipe for 16/22mm tubing.

I don't know how accurate tubing sizes/lily pipe sizes really are but all of mine are 1mm bigger than the tubing size. I also don't know if you should increase that once you have a much larger hose than the 12mm my filters have. I would think you would want a 20-22mm but don't quote me.

AquaTop (if you're listening), make some pipes... your tanks rock!
