Hi everyone,

I'm new to FW planted tanks. When I was a kid I had FW tanks but no plants. A few years ago I got into SW tanks (I recognize some of you guys from ReefHawaii), but I had some bad experiences and am taking a break from saltwater for awhile.

I am in the process of setting up my first planted tank.

For those that are in HAS, what percentage of the members are into planted tanks? I looked at the website but it seems like everyone is mainly into fish. Where are all the planted tank people hanging out?

Bryan here from Oahu... loving it I have 4 10 Gal tanks for plant growing... I think I am going to get rid of the 10 Gal tanks and move all the plant growing into my 60 Gal... and I have a 29 that will become my Apisto breeding den that will be half planted. Anyways I will be looking into hitting up all the islands and when I do I will let you all know so if you are on other islands I can bring you plants if you need because it seems like it is hard for you to get plants.

Its called the Garden Island but not for planted tanks

I have one Nanocube 12 gall planted tank..mostly anubias and some cryptos..nothing fancy.
I do have a new 63.6 gall tank but its empty right now still working on the stand..
It will have to be mail order for plants when I'm ready, heck everything will be mail order.

Yeah, but if you go over to Oahu, check out Aquascapes in Aiea.

Is your 63.6g a custom made tank?

Hey S&KGray,

Thanks for helping me out with the lighting thing. Yep, its a custom. I had a 90 gal for many years but had to get rid of it because I moved and did not have the room for a big tank. I always wanted another one but liked to idea of having the tank not as tall. When I get the chance I'll visit that store in Aiea.

Just fyi I have shrimp for sale. Oahu ONLY

Taiwan Fire Red shrimp culls- have genes from 3 different lines. Sizes vary but most are fully grown, some are even berried. PM if interested

10 shrimp - $20 ($2 each)
20 shrimp - $30 ($1.50 each)
40 shrimp - $40 ($1 each)
