My pleco

I finally got a picture of my pleco. It is a male L183, Ancistrus dolichopterus (common name: Starlight Bristlenose). I picked him up about 6 years ago for $10 at an LFS. He was a hitchhiker in a batch of common plecos. I think I got a great deal!

I would love to find a female and try to breed them.

Neat. Has the white fin tips too? I'll help hunt one down for you.

Thanks! I would love to find a verified female. I am basing him being a male on the amount and length of the bristles. Is that accurate with bristlenoses?

If I can get a spawning pair, this will be my most fecund tank. It currently housed a spawning pair of Tapajos Red Heads, a spawning group of Sterbai cories, and about 30 Cardinal Tetras. I think I am going to add another dozen Cardinals next week.
