greedy... pulled the wafers right out of the feeding tray

the pics are dark because the lights are out, but I bought pyrex petri dishes so that I would not have pick up wafer (Borneo grow) pieces all off the floor after feeding. This was supposed to be a neat way to feed: any leftovers, they remain in the dish. Out goes the dish and the extra food.

Instead, my painted fire reds and one lonely female TT fought over the food and yanked all four pieces of wafer out of the petri dishes.

Talk about greedy! The petri dishes are now glorified rocks on top of my HC. Why did I bother with getting them in the first place if the shrimp are going to yank them out and try to run away with the pieces... bandits!

Well if you don't like the, ship the, to me!

I've always wondered how well Pyrex dishes would work when the shrimp are fighting over the food, especially when it's light food

Gave up on feeding dishes too, the shrimp just make a mess. Went with a 2/3 bare bottom tank instead and feed there and they still drag it to the little spot with gravel. lol.

I wish there was a better system to keep feeding a neat process. May be I just need to find the right amount food so everything gets eaten up and using the dishes becomes moot...
