Nope. They do not do well in water that is warmer than 60-something degrees, from my experience.

Most common snail for shrimp's keepers are: Assassin, Nerite, Malaysian Trumpet, Ramshorn, and Pond snails.
As for scavenging job I recommend: Nerite or Malaysian Trumpet. P.S. Japanese Trapdoor snail taste delicious (to eat of course). Or maybe I ate something similar to it. |

In my experience, they will live for a month or two at high temperatures, and then they die. Have you had those snails for more than 3-4 weeks?

MTS can really get out of hand, and they can also take little bites out of your plants when at high densities. Rabbit snails will gobble up your plants. Nerites would be perfect for this role if they didn't leave little white eggs everywhere.

Red Ramshorn are my favorite... prolific breeders so they can keep up with snail-eating fishes, they don't seem to bother the plants, and they look really nice if you can keep their shells nice and red.
