Question about a 55 Gallon tank

I recently bought a used 55 Gallon + wooden stand for 75 bucks. I have noticed that the 55 gallons I've seen have a center brace on top and bottom. The one I have doesn't have a bottom piece, but looks like you could put one in. The top brace is also bent downward. Is the top being bent a little OK? Is it normal for it to not have a brace at the bottom?

The top one will straighten up as water is added and pressure increases.

Thanks for the reply. Is it normal to not have a center brace at the bottom? Is this something I should be concerned about?

The center brace on top is needed since there is nothing to keep it from bowing. Why would you need it on the bottom since it has a full piece of glass? It can't bow. My theory is both frames are the same and it's cheaper to get just one type frame shipped over from China than to have to order 2 different ones. I imagine that's why some have identical top and bottom frames. Maybe some manufacturers remove the bottom brace. Not sure. But it sounds good.

A lot of those older 55's with no center brace on the bottom have tempered glass. A bit stronger then what they are doing these days
