Any interest in a local swap meet?

I know the people who own Chateau Lamothe http://www.funfoods.biz/ And Of course there would be an open bar, they have a lot of different wines, they are a wine bar and do serve food, more of appetizers than meals.
so if people came and ate and drank a bit, we may be able to get the space for free. It would probably have to be on a Sat afternoon.

They are located just north of where 35 E and 35W meet in Burnsville (they are actually in between the two Closest crossroads are CR 42 and either 35

Anyone interested?

I would be interested but since I am so new to planted tanks I have nothing to swap.

I wont have much to trade for a while either, except enders and maybe some shrimp. Still it would be good to get together and get it started. I want 5 confirmations that people will do their absolute best to get there and I will set it up.

I see four people responding to this so I am now looking for a general time line when people would like to do this, I am going out of town during the end of march so either early march, not much time for planning or early April. What are your preferences? If April is chosen I will make up some flyer's and hand them out to the LFS around the south metro to get more people there, and of course turn them on to this site as well.

I'm wide open more or less. I am going to Costa Rica in March sometime, but I'm flexible.

Ok, Tomorrow I will find out a couple of times in early April that we could use the space and I will post them here with a poll. I most votes selects the date and I will plan from there. I will then get a flier put together and put it out at some lfs south of the river for sure and probably WOF as well. If anyone wants to cover another area let me know and I will email the flier to you.

Default ARRGH Issues

When I first brought this up to the host site, they were interested, now they want to know more concrete numbers, and what we would be purchasing as in food and drink.

Our time slot would be from 4-6 or so on a Tue-Sat day.

Here is the catch, they are now reluctant after thinking on it for the work of hosting an event and how much they would sell. They have a good selection of wines and the food is very good, I highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms!!

Would you be able to make it in that narrow time frame? And would you be willing to spend some money there, like order an appetizer and a few drinks? These answers will allow me to get things a little more organized.

Likely there will be a food and drink minimum that I would be on the hook for, so I am trying to calculate my risk.

thank you for your patience,
-Matt
