Does the standard dose of Excel inhibit algae?
Does the regular dose of excel have an effect on algae or must it be over dosed to have effect?

As far as my knowledge about the substance goes, you need to O/D to have a burning effect on algae. The normal dose just helps plants and that is enough in some cases as the plants inhibit algae better than anything else. BBA taught me that. I used triple doses of a similar product and all I got was livestock deaths until I tuned the water and had a steady and good plant growth. BBA backed away by itself. The O/D just kept it from spreading but did nothing to eradicate it.
