My fancy guppies had babies!
So i set this home up for them...all of the plants are from my 40gal...i wanted lots of hiding places so i opted for a nature style setup. ![]() they love it in there! |

thats my homemade "dripper" to acclimate fish & shrimp and dose medics and adjust pH and etc etc...
it just has a valve attached to some airline tubing, pushed through a hole in the bottle, using a glue gun only on the outside of the bottle to secure it.... it is great because you can adjust how fast the 'drip' can be...anything from 1 drop per second to a little stream.... |

Actually that is a neat contraption. I use gallon milk jugs for my Saltwater tanks to do Kalk Drips but I guess I never thought aobut acclimation bottles. I use an airline and tie knots in it.
I do like that 5 gal. Definatly doing something right. I will learn to turn my black thumb green. Ray

Yeah that loach looks like a stingray when its up against the glass....and its eating my algae off the glass! i can see little teeth marks.
hey i had a black thumb in the beginning too...no big deal. it gets easier...ive actually noticed that when i dont interfere with an established tank everything just works. |

One day... I will have Cabomba growing as nice as yours
Can you share the water conditions that you keep Chocolate Gouramies in? I find them extremely attractive, but heard they need soft & acidic water which has kept me away from them so far.

Yv1: could you post a pic and little explanation in the DIY section for your fish acclimator. I like the idea of acclimating the fish without standing over the tank for a prolonged period of time. If you can show how you regulate the drip, that would be helpful.
