Their website usually has it when they have a sale. Either that or sign up for their newsletter and you'll know when they start a sale. You can always give them a call.

You have to go there, stock varies between store and quality too...

Normally it's the popular tetras and then others are discounted near a $1.

However I think they're doing a different sale 2 for $5...

The newsletters I've gotten were for the store I chose which is the one down the road. You don't have to actually go there to find out about the sales.

Yea I figured I would have to go there. I was just making sure there wasn't another way since I would have to go out of the way to get there.

Be very careful though. Observe those tanks good. Those dollar sales are always what I call soon to be ich sales lol.

PetSmart and PetCo vary in quality and stock depending on location. Best bet is to show up or make friends with someone who works there.

PetSmart in my area are having a $5 or 2/$10 cichlid sale right now.

PetCo is running the same deal on most cichlids.

Actually picked up a dozen black neons at PetCo last week for a buck a pop. Unlike the regular neons, they're in good shape - no signs of ich, which is a big plus. The serpae tetras they had are also on sale, but they looked pretty ratty. I think the black neons get overlooked a lot, but they seem to have quite a bit of personality for a little schooling fish.

I've had mixed luck with my local Petsmart. First purchase was serpe tetra, black neons and ottos. They got ich but all survived treatment. Let them settle in for a few weeks and purchased rams and guppies and ended up with ich again. Was not so lucky and lost one ram and three guppies. They have a good return policy but I bought other product with the refund. Not willing to take another chance.

It may be worth to ask when they get their shipments in. Ours came in every Tuesday from a supplier in Florida.

Thanks. For some reason the Petsmarts are better than Petcos in my area.
