replacement for milwaukee solenoid

I just bought used co2 setup with Milwaukee regulator MA957. Unfortunately solenoid doesn't work, also water from bubble counter sips back to solenoid.
I want to replace solenoid. Should I go with Milwaukee brand or different?
Also, shouldn't there be a check valve between needle valve and the bubble counter?

You can easily replace the MA957 solenoid. There are lots of options to choose from; a popular choice is the Burkert 6011.

The bubble counter supposedly has a check valve to prevent liquids from leaking back into the needle valve, but as you have found out, it does not always work.

Using a quality check valve, such as Swagelok, between the needle valve and the bubble counter will prevent liquid from flowing back.

Milwaukees don't have a check valve... You are probably talking about spending more than you paid for the regulator. I view these regs as disposable rather than an investment worth fixing.
