Effect adding addition filter has on CO2?

I occasionally get BBA and recently had a hair algae issue. I have a standard 20 gallon tank. The filters I have on it currently are Fluval 206, Aquaclear 50 and a dual sponge filter.

The reason I wanted to add the AquaClear 50 was because water circulation wasn't reaching the tank in all directions. The Aquaclear only has biomedia.
Also, I have the CO2 Diffuser right next to and pointed towards the 206's intake.

Would this help increase the CO2 throughout the tank?
I've read on different articles that water movement helps with the distribution of the CO2? I also dose EI Ferts with an 8 hour photoperiod with dual 6500k T5HO bulbs.

Water movement helps with CO2, yes, but not from a HOB - those are known to decrease CO2 by allowing a lot of it to outgas. If you want more water movement a powerhead is a better option.

ok I'll look into getting a powerhead. Any particular brand that you favor?

as long as tere is no splashing, it will not waste tons of co2

but if u feel you need to go the powerhead route, Koralia's are fairly inexpensive for waht they are, quiet as well as gentle but wide current.
they are usually not very noisy either

Default Effect adding addition filter has on CO2?

Make sure the powerhead compliments, not fights, the flow from your filter.
