If money was not an issue, what light would you get for a 60-P?
Hello.
What light would you get for a high tech 60-P if money was not an issue? Tank would have co2, ferts and some harder to grow plants. Let me know what you think. I currently have the Finnex Ray2 on a 60-P and I think it's pretty decent...however, my red plants seem a little washed out but that could just be my imagination. Thanks. |

ive never spent the time figuring out sizin of ada tanks
but for any tank, i'd get the ATI sunpower dimmable fixture t5's are still the light king IMO, many more bulb selections as of right now and led's just do't look right to me and the ATI is the king of t5 lighting right especially since every bank of lights has its own set of 10 dimm control points from 0 -100% and it produces 50% more light than even the TEK fixtures according to mr bar, and im fond of the light output of a TEK

you can do this with a CFL if u put the ludwigia next to it, that is determined by light output for the most part, a good light fixture set up properly will do this, LED, t5, t5 ho, metal halide. etc

Thanks HD for the offer. I will research all the ones you recommended and then I'll let you know. I'm about to get another 60-P in the next few weeks so I'll be on the lookout for a new light.
My ludwigia red is somewhat red/brown from the Finnex Ray2. This is still a fairly new setup of mine so it needs to grow in a ton.

Maxspect Razor 10K. I use Radions and love them. They work well and my plants grew really fast. The sunrise and sunset features with LED's are better then T5's. The shimmer effect really adds to any aquarium.

Aquasky 602. Way too expensive, but so pretty...

In addition to the Radions, you could also take a look at the AI Vega Color. I'm thinking about getting one of those for a new tank that's in the planning.
