Algae identification help
Hello everyone im new to this forum but not to planted tanks. I just started cycling a new ten gallon and am currently stocking it with plants. It will eventually be a cherry shrimp tank. Anyway I was at the lfs and bought a log with some moss like algae on it but they didnt know what kind it was. It had shrimp grazing on it and looked cool so I bought it. Can anyone tell me what it is? Will it attack my plants? The guys at the store said it would only attach to solid stuff but didnt seem sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Looks like Cladophora to me. If so, will probably be a problem for your plants. You could get a bottle of Excel and use the "initial dose" for 3 days in a row, followed by a big water change at the end.
