DIY Glass Lid~Easy
Hi,
This is a quick and easy solution for a glass lid. I found this frame amongst a bunch I have hanging around and the fit was pretty good. I just took some silicone that I had lying around from re-doing my 26G bowfront and painted it to seal it from water. Next, paint the top, silicone the glass in, seal it & make it sparkle. I'm going to be hanging my fixture so this is perfect for me and easier to remove then the flimsy glass one's they sell and no black strip down the middle. On the other half of the tank, I will just find a frame that is a bit narrower to accomodate the HOB and have quick access for feeding. I have to use the tops in the winter as the tank open would be a huge humidifier in my home. Last edited by Elyssa; 02-13-2013 at 02:55 PM.. Reason: typo |
