These are options if you're setup is low light/low tech (no ferts or co2)
Marsilea Minuta
Crypt Parva
Moss carpet

what lighting are you using, size of aquarium, ferts, co2?

You can also grow dwarf baby tears with low tech, but it takes time this way.

Fluval mini co2 I only run it a little,BC I dont trust it) till I get my tank filled next week.
Not dosing ferts, have them just havent figured out the measurements to mix them, and dont have the bottles yet.

Dwarf hairgrass.
Relatively easy if you have the right requirements, nice to look at and it grows crazily after a week or 2.

Yeah if you prune haigrass heavily as soon as you plant it, it should start sending out runners and spreading within a week. Even under low light
