In college and finishing up at 21! Btw looking at jkan's thread and this one, it seems like so far, the spread favors the older population? Is this community getting older too? hahaha jk jk maybe its the size of each set that makes it seem that way. I hope to be in this hobby for a LOT longer

Being that that about half the members are over 30. Why not have a forum dealing with family issues and planted tanks. Discuss issues one has with tank placement, time spent, kids involvement, etc.

33 years old. I don't feel any different, still watch cartoons on saturday morning, still eat captain crunch, and still put things in tanks and look at them, that part just got a little more expensive as I grew up. My two 9 year olds love helping with the tanks, sons favorite part is testing the water he says he's a mad scientist using all the test tubes and droppers.

I got 20 years on him and I still tell myself and my wife that I'm a mad scientist when testing my water lol. I chuckled reading your post.

Pretty sure my wife thinks I'm "special" but I'm just a big kid with a great paying job . That just leads to WAY to many hobbies and empty bank accounts. Glad to see I'm not te only big kid BTW I love fruit loops

I'm curious to see what the male to female ratio is. Does not look like there are many women in the hobby. I noticed this at the GCCA swap as well. I'm assuming its 1 female for every 3-5 males.
