stuff growing on my fissidens
so i have this weird stuff growing on my fissidens.
it only on my fissidens, this makes me think it may be like a root system? never grown it before. pics

surely there must be a reason this has occured.
i would rather find the cause and a cure than just waste money on new moss thats going to become covered in algae again. would excel spot dosing work?

i think its staghorn.
i read here http://www.aquariumalgae.blogspot.cz/ that it may be old dieing leaves leaking nutrients. this would make sense as the old fissidens leaves are decaying. ill do my best to remove old leaves and if i get my hands on excel/easy carbo will start to spot dose.
