dwarf hair grass in newbie tank

Hi all, i have some tiny plugs of this in my new nano and it's not doing very well. Wondering why that might be. Current parameters are in my sig. Tank has been up for less than two weeks and the grass is turning brown. Amazonia soil. Moderate light. Dosing green brighty and brighty k, as well as seachem flourish excel. Need any other info?

Thanks!

Many times, Dwarf Hairgrass is sold in its emersed form. It could just be melting back and converting to its submersed form while in your aquarium.

Now that you mention it, i think this was one of the plants I bought from petsmart, boxed in that gel stuff. So I should just leave it and see if it comes back?

What kind of light do you have and what kind of soil is it in. I find my DHG loves root tabs too.

It's the ada amazonia soil i mentioned above and the light is a jbj led unit with near 150 par.
Although i have just yesterday added more floaters so there is some shade. Don't know if browning would mean too much or too little light.

Is that the par at the substrate? If so, with that much light, you're going to need pressurized CO2 or else you're going to have an algae farm.

I got mine at Petsmart too. They died completely back at first but grew back beautifully and have now carpeted the tank.

No I don't have a par meter. That's the light's rating. It's a 4g cube.
No clue what it is at the substrate.
