Glass or acrylic "lily" spray bar?
I am not entirely thrilled with the way my lily pipe creates flow in my tank, but was not wanting to put an ugly conventional spraybar in my rimless tank. Are there any nice glass or acrylic options out there?

Obsessed? Maybe

You could make your own with acrylic or rigid plastic tubing.
Some of the DIY spraybars look terrific.

If you have a torch and are willing to buy some glass tubing from a chemistry supply company you can easily bend or cut to make a return of any size and shape you want

Not really a DIY guy. Anyone making them on the forum?

I have never seen them for sale. In a quick google search, it seems like some companies plan to make some but don't have any listed.
The only glass one I know of is the one that comes with the ADA waterfall tanks. I wonder if Frank at ADG could help you out, assuming your tank is similar enough in size to one of the models. He is Francis Xavier on the site. I am sure you could get someone to DIY one for you, more than a few people have made these and very good ones. That would likely be acrylic though, not glass.

It's not much of a DIY project, really.
A Dremel or drill and a couple minutes is all you need. Rigid tubing is so cheap you can buy five or six pieces in case you mess up or don't get things right. I've made them for every tank on which I'm using a canister. Never had a problem in several years. (Heck, you could even use a hot nail to poke holes in the tubing - super-easy)

There is a glass spraybar made by ADA, it comes with the Do!Aqua waterfall tanks.
I believe it comes in 2,3,4 ft sizes. Maybe email if you can order one separate? |
